Can ChatGPT Do SEO?

ChatGPT can help with parts of SEO, but it cannot do SEO on its own. It is genuinely useful for drafting content, brainstorming keywords, outlining articles, and explaining concepts quickly. What it cannot do is crawl your actual website, read your Google Search Console data, judge which fixes matter most for your specific site, or build real relationships and coverage that earn authority. It also does not always know whether its suggestions are current, and it will confidently produce advice that is outdated or wrong. I use AI tools to speed up parts of my work, but the audit, the strategy, the technical fixes, and the judgement about what your site actually needs still require a person who can see the real data.
