LLM SEO FAQ
What Is the Difference Between Google SEO and LLM SEO?
Google SEO aims to rank your pages in Google's search results, so a person clicks through to your site. LLM SEO aims to get your business mentioned or cited inside answers from AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, where the person may never click a link at all. The overlap is large, because both reward clear content, topical authority, and trust. The differences are in emphasis: LLM SEO cares more about being quotable, factually precise, and structured so a model can extract a clean answer, while Google SEO still cares about keywords, internal linking, and click-through behaviour. I do not treat them as separate projects. Strong fundamentals serve both, and I build for both together.
